I met CJ when I first joined Anytime Fitness at the end of 2007.  When we began in January 2008, CJ and I discussed my personal goals, my lifestyle, my eating habits and he explained he would take me through this process one step at a time.  I didn’t want to become a body builder, but CJ explained the overall benefits of a tighter, more toned body and how weight training, diet and cardio workouts would help me achieve those goals and improve my health.

CJ brings his “A” game to each training session.  While I started out slowly, I have gone through several phases of change with his leadership and guidance.  CJ is mature beyond his years is extremely professional and knows just how and when to push you past what you believe is your limit.  We talk regularly throughout the workouts and he takes the time necessary to explain proper technique. CJ also reviews nutritional aspects of my program and explains how to take it to the next level.  I feel confident I have now entered a new way of living, and I look forward to each training session.       

Initially, I had a goal of about 20 lbs to lose when I first started with CJ.  I had lost over 50 pounds 7 years ago, but it was trying to find me again!  I was not fit; I didn’t have muscle tone, and my clothes getting too tight.  To date, I have lost about 14 pounds (probably mostly fat), gained muscle and I have gone down from a tight size 12-14 to a very comfortable size 8-10.  I have all but thrown away my scale, as the only evidence of improvement I need is the tape measure – I have lost many inches with only a few more to go.  Maybe I’m still not a body builder, but you don’t have to ask me twice to show you my biceps!  My self esteem is back two fold! 

Would I do it again, certainly.  Would I do it all over again with CJ – ABSOLUTELY. CJ has taught me that the more you put into it, the more you get out of it.  That speaks volumes about his own personal character, and if you are considering a trainer I feel very confident that with a little dedication and CJ’s knowledge and guidance, you too can meet your goals no matter what they may be.
